4. Titanic’s Debris Field Mapped by Underwater Robots
Our novel study of the ocean’s depths has been made possible by underwater robots, and we have just published a first of its kind: a composite map that carefully shows the Titanic’s located objects on the ocean floor. This technical wonder reveals light on the following days of the historic ship’s sad loss by providing a unique picture of the huge rubbish field. These robots have thoroughly surveyed the remains using state-of-the-art technology, giving those with expertise a comprehensive understanding of the Titanic’s final laying spot. This complex graphic not only shows the huge size of the damage but also helps us solve the mystery behind the ship’s breakdown. Each piece gently tells the tale of the awful night in 1912, increasing our knowledge of this famous coastal image.
