3. One Foot Island, Aitutaki, Cook Islands
Situated north of Rarotonga, Aitutaki also known as Araura, Ararau, and Utataki—is a jewel in the British Islands. With 2,000 citizens, it is the second most popular island in the archipelago. The west side is decorated by the main settlement which is Arutanga. Aitutaki is described as a nearby island, achieving an altitude of approximately 123 meters, where the Maunga Pu hill is located. Covering 18.05 km2 and featuring a major island measuring 16.8 km2, the center of the barrier reef hugs smaller islands on its eastern border, including Mangere, Akaiami, and Tekopua.
