2. Anse Source d’Argent, La Digue, Seychelles
Situated between Praslin and Felicite is the most populated island in the Seychelles, La Digue. Covering 10.08 km2, it is the fourth largest sandy island and can easily walk by foot or by bicycle. It has 2,800 people mostly living in West Coast neighborhoods and even does not have an airport, therefore people must travel there by boat, usually through Praslin, or Victoria. The island, which carries the name of a ship from the navy of French explorer Marc-Joseph Marion du Fresne in 1768, provides all-year cool temperatures and sufficient but light rainfall, which starts in October and continues until March.
