19. Corniche Beach, La Teste-De-Buch, France
At 357 feet, the Dune of Pilat is the highest sand in Europe. It falls to the Atlantic Ocean’s Corniche Beach through a pine forest. Climbers can enjoy the dune’s amazing views by taking a 10-minute flying trip with Pyla Parapente which gives visitors a bird eye view of this geomorphic marvel. The two 200 meter long sandy bays of Sète’s Corniche Beach which is in front of the Corniche Promenade are shielded by a large dam. The beach provides a varied coastal experience with features like a playground, a walking ramp, and a water sports area.
