6. Kunal Nayyar
The Big Bang Theory actor Kunal Nayyar, who played Raj, almost passed away following the first episode. He almost felt like he was left behind, but the others knew better. Fortunately, a producer saw Kunal’s abilities in the part. At first, the writers struggled with the character, and his role was limited. The producer defended Kunal because he believed in his abilities and was ready to take any hit. Two sentences in the pilot make it sound like a bad idea to let him leave.
